Burnley manager Dyche admits seeking outside help to solve form slumpby Paul Vegas10 months agoSend to a friendShare the loveBurnley manager Sean Dyche has revealed he’s sought outside assistance to help him get to the bottom of their form woes.Dyche has asked trusted football contacts to watch games at Turf Moor in order to give an independent view on what is going wrong.”We get feedback from the staff and the players and I have people outside the club as well who I listen to, who I trust or who I ask to come to our games. They are very honest people who look through the results,” he said.”I certainly don’t think I’ve got all the answers. You’re in the wrong business if you think you have got all the answers because it’s a very tough business to have any answer.”We out-ran Everton in virtually every metric,” he said. “How could we have 50-50 possession, 11 against 10 shots, 23 crosses against 19 (without commitment). The 2018 college football season officially starts this month, and as such, ESPN has gone ahead and released its final Power Rankings heading into the season. Alabama, you won’t be surprised to hear, is the No. 1 team in the country. The rankings were released a few hours before Brett McMurphy’s bombshell report on Urban Meyer. At the moment, it’s unclear what kind of situation Ohio State will be dealing with regarding its head coach heading into the season.Following Alabama in the rankings is Clemson, which returns a number of stars from its defense. ESPN believes it’s very possible the Crimson Tide and the Tigers meet again – for the fourth year in a row – in the College Football Playoff.Ohio State, Georgia and Washington round out the top five. LOUISVILLE, KY – NOVEMBER 26: Mark Stoops the head coach of the Kentucky Wildcats celebrates with his players after the Kentucky 41-38 win over the Louisville Cardinals at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium on November 26, 2016 in Louisville, Kentucky. (Photo by Andy Lyons/Getty Images)Kentucky football capped off its best season in recent memory with a Citrus Bowl win over Penn State.UK stuck with head coach Mark Stoops through three losing seasons at the top of his tenure, and it really appears to have paid off.Stoops went 2-10 in his first year in Lexington, followed by a pair of 5-7 seasons. Recruiting continually improved, though, and the Wildcats broke through in 2016.Now, after a pair of 7-6 seasons and bowl losses, Kentucky made a big three-win leap, and upset the No. 12 Penn State Nittany Lions in today’s bowl.UK withstood a big push by a resilient Trace McSorley playing on what has been reported as a broken foot, to win 27-24.As usual for Kentucky football, star running back Benny Snell shines, carrying the rock 26 times for 144 yards and a pair of scores. After the Kentucky bowl win, Mark Stoops wasn’t afraid to flex on Penn State a little bit.He had fun with the fact that Kentucky beat a team with the same blue and white color scheme. On the field Mark Stoops said:“Don’t let anyone tell you we aren’t the REAL Blue and White!”— Matt Jones (@KySportsRadio) January 1, 2019That’s pretty tame, but we’re sure Penn State fans don’t appreciate it right now.Today was Kentucky’s first bowl win in almost exactly 10 years. ATLANTA, GA – DECEMBER 01: Head coach Nick Saban of the Alabama Crimson Tide reacts after defeating the Georgia Bulldogs 35-28 in the 2018 SEC Championship Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on December 1, 2018 in Atlanta, Georgia. (Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)The Alabama coaching staff is finally taking shape after it was ravaged following the title game loss against Clemson. Former offensive coordinator Mike Locksley left to become the head coach at Maryland and his presumptive replacement, Dan Enos, left to take the offensive coordinator role at Miami alongside Manny Diaz. That left a major hole on the offensive coaching staff for Nick Saban to fill, but not long after, Alabama’s defensive coordinator Josh Lupoi took a job with the Cleveland Browns as the team’s defensive line coach. After getting crushed on both sides of the coaching staff, Saban finally nabbed a few coaches from around the SEC.Earlier this week, Saban landed longtime defensive assistant Sal Sunseri from Florida. Just one day later, Saban grabbed another top SEC assistant. This time, he’s stealing from Tennessee. According to Austin Price of VolQuest, Tennessee assistant Charles Kelly is leaving the Volunteers to join Saban’s staff.Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt has lost assistant coach Charles Kelly to Alabama. The veteran secondary coach is leaving Rocky Top to coach the secondary for the Tide with sources telling Volquest that Kelly could be in line to for a bigger title once Nick Saban finalizes the rest of his staff.Saban’s staff finally appears to be taking shape. Stay tuned for an official announcement from Saban and the Crimson Tide.

He will be remembered forever as the man who starred in India’s first-ever series win in Australia.Pujara scored 521 runs from seven innings but more than the runs he scored, the time he spent at the middle -1258 balls in 30 hours – frustrated and ground down the Australian attack. By the time the final Test was being played, Australia bowlers were a shadow of their lethal self. India made 622 runs, of which Pujara made 193, in the drawn Sydney Test. However, Pujara has suffered a rare failure, in his first competitive innings since returning from Australia. The Saurashtra star was dismissed for 11 in his side’s Ranji Trophy quarter-final against Uttar Pradesh in Lucknow on Wednesday.Pujara batted just an hour and 28 balls for his 11 before India’s U-19 World Cup star from 2018, Shivam Mavi. Yeah, I mean, he’s a legend of the sport, and so is Rafa.”Nadal was happy and emotional about his tournament in Melbourne Park on Tuesday. He was forced to retire hurt in the fifth set of last year’s quarter-final against eventual finalist Marin Cilic, eight years after pulling out midway through his last-eight clash against Andy Murray with a knee injury.”It’s very emotional for me to be back in the semi-final in Melbourne,” Nadal said in the on-court interview. “I had some troubles in this event all my career.”To be back to the semi-final without playing for a while means everything to me. So I just want to say thank you very, very much everybody. Great feelings, to be able to play in this court is always so special.”And of course I’m very happy with the way I played tonight.”For a place in the final, Nadal will meet 20-year-old Greek sensation Tsitsipas, who earlier on Tuesday became his country’s first player to reach the last four at a major with a 7-5 4-6 6-4 7-6(2) triumph over Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut. After destroying Alex de Minaur, the highly-regarded 19-year-old local, in straight sets in the third round and Tiafoe in the last eight, Tsitsipas will be the latest youngster to test Nadal.advertisement”When you face these young players, they are in permanent improvement. He’s with confidence. He won a lot of good matches. Will be a tough one,” Nadal said.”For me is always the same: you are in the semi-finals of a Grand Slam, you can’t expect an easy opponent. He was promoted to No.3 against Mumbai Indians at Eden Gardens and smashed an unbeaten 80 off 40 before picking up crucial wickets and taking catches to script a 34-run win for KKR.Also Read | Andre Russell slams KKR team atmosphere: It is not healthyAlso Read | Dinesh Karthik: Very excited, dream come true to be part of this World Cup teamFor sports news, updates, live scores and cricket fixtures, log on to indiatoday.in/sports.
