And Pennsylvania is prime to meet the demands of tomorrow’s economy. That’s why this month, Governor Tom Wolf continued to highlight how new workforce training and education programs can help bridge the skills gap.ApprenticeshipsFrom innovative workforce training centers to an 150-year-old company, Governor Wolf continued to create new partnerships that will enable more employers to develop specialized training programs, raising the total number of registered apprentices to 15,201 statewide. Governor Wolf also announced statewide efforts to employ more veterans in the utility workforce.Computer Science EducationOver the next decade, 71 percent of new jobs will require computer science skills.
